Some of this furniture was bought @blue_bird_market4thekids bc we believe in recycling and shopping with purpose; some was given to us by dear friends. Tim moved in after we both tested positive for covid in the spring. The kids and I are still going back and forth between Mom’s and Buster for now. But we’re getting closer! CLOSED TONIGHT. See below for why.

Here at Boogie Knight's, we are all about inclusivity. We don't care who you are, where you come from, what color you are, how much money you have, or what you identify as sexually. This place was really just a place for people, ALL people, to come hang out in a surrounding that is both comfortable and chill.

Having said that, we can not ignore what the overturning of "Roe Vs Wade" means in respect to the women in all our lives. We, the owners, never wanted this business to be defined by our own political views or beliefs. However, when one half of this place is owned by a woman, we've now come to realize that sometimes there is a point where personal beliefs and business intersect. This post is NOT about bashing anyone that believes differently than we do. This post is about the women who might not believe in the same things you do. It's about their right to make decisions concerning their body.

We are a young business, and believe me when I say that money is tight, but money is NOT everything. Despite being completely stocked and ready for service tonight, we have come to the conclusion that healthy protest is the only thing we can do in this moment. WE WILL BE CLOSED TONIGHT in protest of this decision. Not one red cent will go to the government today from Boogie Knight's. Obviously tomorrow the tax train will start rolling again but there's very little that one can do to stop that. Sometimes taking a stand may not make a huge impact, but it's the principle of making the stand that matters.
